Cecil Walker, LMFT

Cecil Walker is a psychotherapist in Atlanta, Ga. He completed his master’s degree in family therapy at Mercer University School of Medicine after finishing a double-bachelor’s in psychology and music at Emory University. He currently practices therapy at Midtown Psychotherapy Associates where he primarily sees teens, students, young adults, and families with a particular interest in serving marginalized identities. He has also worked with the Center for Victims of Torture treating immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers with intense trauma history. He previously served as the Multicultural Issues Chair on the board of the Georgia Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He has an extensive background as a clinical researcher having presented at conferences in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. and contributed to the book, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with Clients Managing Trauma, published in 2018.
