Frequently asked questions

Both on demand and live courses are open to all mental health professionals, including:

  • Beginning level: New graduates or individuals who have recently changed fields of practice.
  • Intermediate level: Individuals with a year or more experience in the relevant field of practice.
  • Advanced level: Individuals with several years of experience in related work. Level of education may be relevant in cases such as advanced clinical skills training.

Motivo’s courses are discussion-style and are offered in two formats.

On Demand Courses: On Demand, asynchronous courses are self-paced, providing a recording of a panel discussion, a posttest, and evaluation.

Live Courses: Live courses will be provided via synchronous, video conference through Zoom. Panelists will be on video. Attendees will not be on video, but will be able to interact with panelists through chat, Q&A and reactions.

A certified interpreter will provide American Sign Language interpretation and closed captioning will be enabled.

Yes!

On Demand Courses:After you’ve viewed the entire recorded training and have completed the course evaluation and posttest (with 80% or above), you will earn the specified number of continuing education credits. You can find the number of CE credits on each course page.

Live Courses: After you’ve attended the entire live event and have completed the course evaluation, you will earn the specified number of continuing education credits. You can find the number of CE credits on each course page.

No download is needed! You can watch it right from your browser.

You can watch our on-demand courses anywhere, anytime. You can register for the live course, and we will give you the option to add it to your calendar.

Live courses are provide via synchronous, video conference through Zoom. After registration, a Zoom link will be sent via email. The system requirements for Zoom are below. Here is a complete list of system requirements for Zoom.

  • An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in, USB plug-in, or wireless Bluetooth
  • A webcam or HD webcam - built-in, USB plug-in, or:
    • An HD cam or HD camcorder with a video-capture card Note: See the list of supported devices.
    • Virtual camera software for use with broadcasting software like OBS or IP cameras. Note: For macOS, Zoom client 5.1.1 or higher is required.

Yes! We welcome your feedback. Each course is followed by a course evaluation where you can tell us what you think!

For on demand, asynchronous courses, a passing grade of 80% or better is required for the posttest. You are permitted to retake the posttest as many times as needed to earn an 80% or better. You will automatically be prompted for a retake if you receive a score lower than 80%.

There is no posttest requirement for live courses, only complete attendance at the event.

A CE certificate will be available immediately following the completion of a course.

For on demand courses, the certificate will be available upon successful completion of the course posttest. For live courses, the certificate will be available upon completion of the course evaluation after the live event has ended.

You can access your certificates from the ‘Certificates’ page, found on the drop down menu under your name/profile.

All courses - both on demand and live - are accessible through your yearly subscription cost.

We accept all major credit cards - Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

You’re able to cancel the auto-renewal at any point of your membership. If you cancel, you will have access until your current plan expires.
