Who is the intended audience for Motivo Learning’s courses?
Both on-demand and live courses are open to all mental health professionals, including:
- Beginning level: New graduates or individuals who have recently changed fields of practice.
- Intermediate level: Individuals with a year or more experience in the relevant field of practice.
- Advanced level: Individuals with several years of experience in related work. Level of education may be relevant in cases such as advanced clinical skills training.
What is the format for courses?
Motivo’s courses are discussion-style and are offered in two formats.
On-demand courses: On-demand, asynchronous courses are self-paced, providing a recording of a panel discussion, a posttest, and evaluation.
Live courses: Live courses will be provided via synchronous video conference through Zoom. CE Speakers will be on video. Learners will not be on video, but will be able to interact with the CE Speakers through chat, Q&A and reactions.
Live captions are available in every live session. To request accommodations, email learn@motivohealth.com before the session.
Do all courses include a CE credit?
Yes!
On-demand courses: After you’ve viewed the entire recorded training and have completed the course evaluation and posttest (with 80% or above), you will earn the specified number of CE credits. You can find the number of CE credits on each course page.
Live courses: After you’ve attended the entire live event and have completed the course evaluation, you will earn the specified number of CE credits. You can find the number of CE credits on each course page.
Do I need to download anything to watch the courses?
No download is needed! You can watch it right from your browser.
How do I sign up for an on-demand versus live course?
You can watch our on-demand courses anywhere, anytime. You can register for the live course, and we will give you the option to add it to your calendar.
What are the system requirements for live courses?
Live courses are provided via synchronous video conference through Zoom. After registration, a Zoom link will be sent via email. The system requirements for Zoom are below. Here is a complete list of system requirements for Zoom.
- An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
- Speakers and a microphone – built-in, USB plug-in, or wireless Bluetooth
- A webcam or HD webcam - built-in, USB plug-in, or:
- An HD cam or HD camcorder with a video-capture card Note: See the list of supported devices.
- Virtual camera software for use with broadcasting software like OBS or IP cameras. Note: For macOS, Zoom client 5.1.1 or higher is required.
What if I can’t make the time for a live course?
No problem. Every live course becomes available on-demand shortly after, so you will not miss it.
Will I have a chance to evaluate courses?
Yes! We welcome your feedback. Each course is followed by a course evaluation where you can tell us what you think!
What are the requirements for posttests?
For on-demand, asynchronous courses, a passing grade of 80% or better is required for the posttest. You are permitted to retake the posttest as many times as needed to earn an 80% or better. You will automatically be prompted for a retake if you receive a score lower than 80%.
There is no posttest requirement for live courses, only complete attendance at the event.
When will I receive my CE certificate?
A CE certificate will be available immediately following the completion of a course.
For on-demand courses, the certificate will be available upon successful completion of the course posttest. For live courses, the certificate will be available upon completion of the course evaluation after the live event has ended.
You can access your certificates from the ‘Certificates’ page, found on the drop down menu under your name/profile.
What is the cost of the courses?

How can Learners request accommodations for a disability?
Motivo is committed to accessible Continuing Education. Closed captioning is provided wherever possible, with American Sign Language interpretation for most on-demand courses. To request an accommodation, email learn@motivohealth.com.
Does Motivo have a grievance policy?

What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel a course registration or your access to Motivo Learning at any time by emailing learn@motivohealth.com. Refund requests are handled under our grievance policy.

Motivo, #1829, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 10/25/2023 – 10/25/2026.
