Daisy Rios, LCPC

Daisy received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Daisy works with clients across the lifespan and has deep compassion for working with youth and adolescents from marginalized communities. Previous to entering the therapy space, Daisy spent many years working with youth populations from a mentoring aspect. Currently, Daisy is the Clinical Program Manager for Youth services at Thrive Counseling Center in Oak Park, IL. Her clinical interests include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and expressive therapies. She has worked with a number of adolescents, adults, and families who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, and life challenges encouraging and guiding clients to overcome individual, as well as familial obstacles. Daisy also has training in areas of domestic violence, trauma focused therapies, anger management, and case management services. She believes imagination is an important part of our lives as it allows people to dream, to create, and to grow within themselves. Daisy is a fan of Marvel and DC comics with Wonder Woman as her favorite character building strength and respect for individuality.
