Desiree Compton, MS, LPC, CDC

Desiree Compton is a licensed professional counselor and board approved supervisor in the state of Alaska where she has resided for over 30 years. She has been working in the substance use and mental health field for 18 years. Compton primarily works as a consultant in a primary care setting serving Alaska Native and American Indian populations. Compton also has experience teaching introductory psychology courses and providing community trainings around trauma and resiliency (ACES). She has participated in publications around feminist-based supervision and mentoring and is passionate about empowering and developing novice clinicians to meet the current demands for high quality mental health care.
