HerMaya Onunwor, DSW, LISW-S
Dr. HerMaya Onunwor currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical Compliance for Motivo and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker, as well as a clinical supervisor, in the State of Ohio. In her role at Motivo, she monitors tele-supervision state board licensure regulations and assists the Motivo community with supervision-related regulatory and compliance questions. Dr. HerMaya earned her DSW from the University of Kentucky, with a specialization in Administrative Leadership, where she conducted applied research related to social work and technology integration. Her focus was clinicians’ ethical and competent use of technical processes. Dr. HerMaya is a passionate digital equity advocate working to end technology-based divides and to advance technology for social good. She draws upon her diverse social work experience in an array of social service settings such as community agencies, hospitals, schools, and private practice to understand how technology can be used to meet the needs of vulnerable communities. Dr. HerMaya is a thought leader, innovator, and subject matter expert, working towards advancing the digital mental health space while keeping ethics and equity at the forefront of innovation.
