Hi all, my name is Sira Rodriguez. I am a 2nd generation Mexican American. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA. I have a background in Psychology/minor in Sociology and most recently completed my Master’s program in Marriage and family therapy at Mercer University in 2020. My professional, educational, and personal endeavors have all been rooted in social advocacy and Intersectionality. More specifically, concentrated in supporting underrepresented communities through understanding the pre-, in-transit, and post- experiences in a systemic level.  Currently, in my 2nd year working as an HR Manager at one of the largest Hispanic-owned business in the country, where my work continues to be informed by multi-cultural narratives forging better work culture, practices, and resources. - Completed B.S degree in Psychology at Georgia State University - Completed Masters of Family Therapy at Mercer University.

This course covers the topic of bias and how it affects your therapeutic practice and everyday life. Disarming our biases is and will continue to be a relevant conversation as it is a lifelong journey for any therapist that wishes to provide a safe space for their clients. Clinicians will discover more about their own bias and opportunities to challenge these in a myriad of ways.
