Amy Morgan, PhD, LMFT

Dr. Amy Morgan is an Assistant Professor of Couple and Family Therapy in the Department of Family Science at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on the health and resilience of families with an incarcerated parent both during incarceration and after, as formerly incarcerated parents navigate family and community reentry. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (VA, MD, WA) and an AAMFT-approved clinical supervisor. Dr. Morgan is also involved in trauma-informed care training as well as policy work, serving as a statewide legislative policy leader for organizations including AAMFT and the National Council for Behavioral Health.
