Tanisha Robinson, LCSW

Tanisha Robinson is a trauma trained clinical social worker. She attended Rutgers University for her MSW and graduated in 2015. She has worked in medical settings primarily in the beginning of her career and then transitioned into community mental health. She started her private practice in 2019 and does therapy, trauma assessments, immigration evaluations, psychoeducation workshops and clinical supervision. When she isn’t working, she enjoys obsessing about her cats, drawing, Netflix shows, everything Marvel and going to New York Comic Con. She also plays softball three days a week and exercises the other days.

This course defines trauma-informed care and illustrates various body-based and other approaches to practice with clients. Trauma looks different from every angle so it is pivotal as a mental health professional to understand trauma-informed care and build it into your everyday life. Tanisha Robinson, Dr. Amy Morgan, and Dr. Carla share their own definition of trauma-informed care as well as self-care methods to maintain longevity in today’s landscape.
